Haunted Chocolatier Is Still Missing, But This Freaky Tea Party Sim Could Scratch Your Itch
ConcernedApe’s long-awaited Haunted Chocolatier remains unreleased, with the developer unable to specify a launch timeline. The indie game promises to deliver what ConcernedApe describes as a “candy-bar blend of sweet and creepy,” combining whimsical chocolate-making elements with eerie atmosphere.
Players eager to experience a similar vibe while waiting might consider Tearoom of Terror from developer Sundew Studios. The game is positioned as a “cozy gothic murder mystery,” featuring detailed artwork rendered in the distinctive macabre style of illustrator Edward Gorey. The game was recently showcased by Sundew Studios writer and designer Allie Ast during the Cozy After Dark Showcase, a livestream event presented by Dames 4 Games, a nonprofit organization dedicated to increasing women and non-binary representation within the gaming industry.
Tearoom of Terror is slated for release on Steam and provides an atmospheric alternative for players interested in darkly whimsical gaming experiences while they await Haunted Chocolatier’s eventual arrival.
