Arc Raiders’ Frozen Trail update introduced a new outpost system featuring furniture crafting—a mechanic many players initially dismissed as purely cosmetic. However, crafting furniture provides substantial functionality, unlocking hundreds of additional storage slots for items and weapons, making it far more valuable than players may have initially realized.
The feature is relatively straightforward to access. Players need to reach level 18 to initiate the Sheltered Retreat project, after which they must take a photograph of the Ruined Homestead to progress. These requirements are not particularly demanding, allowing players to quickly gain access to the expanded storage capacity.
