GTA 6’s PC release date is set for “Q1 2027”, per a new report

Grand Theft Auto 6 is reportedly heading to PC in the first quarter of 2027, according to a GamesBeat report citing four anonymous industry sources familiar with Rockstar’s plans. If accurate, the PC version would arrive just four months after the console release on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, scheduled for November 19, 2026.

This represents a dramatic acceleration compared to Rockstar’s historical pattern. Grand Theft Auto 5 took 18 months to reach PC after its 2013 console launch, while Red Dead Redemption 2 arrived approximately 11 months later. The Q1 2027 window—potentially as early as January and no later than March 2027—would mark an unprecedented short turnaround for the publisher.

Rockstar Games and parent company Take-Two Interactive have not officially confirmed the report or announced any PC version plans. The company did not respond to GamesBeat’s request for comment. Industry observers have speculated that the accelerated timeline might coincide with the launch of GTA 6’s multiplayer component, informally referred to by fans as “GTA Online 2,” though Rockstar has yet to formally announce details about the game’s online features.
