Helldivers 2 Scope of Authority Premium Warbond Details Revealed
Arrowhead Game Studios has unveiled details for the upcoming “Scope of Authority” premium Warbond for Helldivers 2, scheduled to launch on October 20. The new cosmetic and weapon bundle centers around a “scope” theme and introduces fresh weaponry options to the cooperative tactical shooter.
The primary new addition is the R-40 Sightliner, a bolt-action sniper rifle engineered for long-range precision engagements. Players will also gain access to the P-44 Mist as a secondary weapon choice. The Warbond further expands Helldivers 2’s ongoing live-service content roadmap, arriving after a relatively quiet period of game announcements.
This update coincides with continued development on the Helldivers 2 live-action film adaptation, which has seen significant casting news. Reacher actor Alan Ritchson recently joined the production, with the movie now scheduled for release in 2028. The cinematic project represents a growing trend of adapting gaming franchises for film.
The new Warbond exemplifies Arrowhead’s monetization strategy through premium seasonal passes, offering cosmetics and exclusive weapons to maintain player engagement. Such content drops are a cornerstone of the live-service model that sustains Helldivers 2’s post-launch support.
