Stage Tour Will Support Xbox Play Anywhere, And Here’s A Look At The Full Setlist So Far

Stage Tour, a new rhythm game from developer RedOctane, will support Xbox Play Anywhere, enabling players to enjoy the title across both Xbox Series X consoles and Windows PCs via the Xbox app. The game serves as a spiritual successor to Guitar Hero, rekindling the rhythm gaming genre that defined an era alongside Rock Band.

The game features a Gibson Les Paul guitar controller with colored buttons, recreating the classic plastic instrument experience for modern hardware. Players will strike notes in time with songs from an extensive music library. The developers have revealed 61 of the planned 90 songs, with the complete setlist still to be announced.

Xbox Play Anywhere functionality means a single purchase grants access to both the console and Windows PC versions, allowing players to jam on their preferred device. This cross-platform support reflects Xbox’s ongoing effort to blur the lines between console and PC gaming through unified purchasing and access across its ecosystem.

Stage Tour arrives during a notable drought in new rhythm game releases. With Guitar Hero and Rock Band having dominated their respective eras, player interest in the genre remains strong, creating an opportunity for RedOctane to capture nostalgic gamers and introduce the format to new audiences seeking accessible, social gameplay experiences.
