Gears of War: E-Day Mod Adds Halo, Star Wars, and Warhammer 40,000 Skins
A new mod for Gears of War: E-Day called Incursion, created by game designer Tom Whaley, adds a skin selector that allows players to customize four main characters with cosmetic options from across the gaming industry.
The mod enables players to outfit Marcus, Dom, Mags, and Lucas with skins including Halo Spartans, Warhammer 40,000 Space Marines, Star Wars Clone Troopers, and Gears of War-appropriate in-universe skins. Players can select their preferred skins either from the main menu or during gameplay via the pause menu.
Tom Whaley, known online as @Unreal_Dev on social media, designed the mod and shared a conceptual question about what Halo would look like if developed by The Coalition, the studio behind Gears of War. This query hints at the creative inspiration behind allowing players to visualize iconic franchises reimagined within the Gears universe.
