Horror Game Jiaohun Has Secrets, Demons, and Pagers | IGN Fall Fan Fest 2026

Jiaohun, a first-person psychological horror game developed by 12AM Blackout, was revealed at IGN’s Fall Fan Fest 2026. The game is set in Fairy Town, Baishoi County, China during 1999, immersing players in an atmospheric tale of mystery and supernatural encounters.

The experience centers around exploration and puzzle-solving within abandoned buildings, heavily drawing from Chinese folktales and mythology. Players will encounter demons, secrets, and references to a nameless god while uncovering the narrative. The game explores themes of obsession through its gameplay mechanics and environmental storytelling.

The visual aesthetic features unsettling imagery including hands with eyes, masked figures, and other disturbing elements. Notably, the game incorporates period-authentic 1990s technology, including pagers as collectible mystical artifacts, adding to its specific temporal setting.

Jiaohun is scheduled to launch in 2027 for PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam. Players interested in the title can already add it to their wishlist on Steam’s platform. This reveal was one of 90 exclusive announcements across games, movies, television, comics, and collectibles at IGN’s Fall Fan Fest event.
