Minecraft’s Verity Is A Top Trending Halloween Costume For 2026
Google has released its list of top trending Halloween costumes for 2026, dubbed the “Frightgeist” list, based on trending searches across its platform. Minecraft’s Verity secured the number 7 spot on the list.
Verity is a horror web series created by ThatMob that takes place within Minecraft. The series features a character of the same name—a smiling face that becomes increasingly unhinged as the narrative progresses. The full episode is available to watch online.
This ranking places Verity among other popular horror-themed costume choices, including “Buddy the Unicorn” from director Casper Kelly’s horror film and “Nikki” from Curry Barker’s viral horror hit “Obsession,” which tops the list at number 1. According to Google’s data, Los Angeles, California experienced the highest search volume for Verity-themed costumes. The ranking demonstrates the growing appeal of horror-themed and internet creepypasta-style content as Halloween costume choices for 2026.
