Site News: So, Where’s Our Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse Review?
Nintendo Life has published a transparency piece explaining why their review for Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse is not yet available ahead of the game’s October 15th launch. While other gaming publications have already released their reviews—reportedly indicating the game will be well-received—Nintendo Life acknowledges that readers may be wondering about the gap in their coverage.
The publication directly addresses the reason: they have not yet received a review code for Konami and Evil Empire’s new entry. This situation creates a coverage disparity between Nintendo Life and other outlets, prompting the site to proactively explain the delay to readers who may be comparing reviews across different gaming media outlets.
The article highlights a common challenge facing gaming publications when distributing review codes prior to release. Nintendo Life’s transparency in acknowledging the missing review reflects industry practice of explaining coverage gaps and review delays to readers.
