Here are our PS Plus Premium and Extra games for October

Sony has announced the PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium game lineup for October 2026, featuring a strong mix of recent releases and classic titles. The bulk of new additions arrive on October 20, headlined by two major titles: Mafia: The Old Country and Horizon Forbidden West.

Mafia: The Old Country is a prequel set in early 1900s Sicily that reimagines the origins of the Sicilian Mafia. Players take on the role of Enzo Favara, who becomes entangled with the Torrisi crime family. Beyond the typical crime and action elements, the game addresses real-world historical themes of labor exploitation and poverty that affected Italians in the early 20th century. IGN awarded the game an 8/10, praising its excellent writing, immersive world-building, and stellar performances. A recent expansion adds additional story content for those seeking more.

Horizon Forbidden West, the sequel to Guerrilla’s acclaimed open-world action RPG, also joins the catalog this month. The game received a 9/10 upon its original release, establishing it as one of the franchise’s best entries.

The October lineup includes several other notable releases: Dino Crisis 2 (available only to Premium subscribers), Tales of Arise: Beyond the Dawn Edition, Poppy’s Playtime: Chapter 2, and Monster Energy Supercross 25: The Official Video Game. Additional titles arrive earlier in the month, with The Midnight Walk launching October 14 and Mycopunk on October 20.

PlayStation Plus Essential subscribers can also claim three free games through November 2: F1 25, Hunt: Showdown 1896, and Earth Defense Force: World Brothers 2.
