Here are our PS Plus Premium and Extra games for October

Sony announced the October 2026 lineup for PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium subscribers, featuring a strong mix of modern titles and classic games. The highlight is Mafia: The Old Country, a prequel to the acclaimed crime franchise set in early 1900s Sicily that explores the origins of the Sicilian Mafia. Players follow Enzo Favara as he becomes entangled with the Torrisi crime family, with the narrative addressing real-world labor exploitation and poverty affecting Italians in the early 20th century. The game has earned critical praise for its excellent writing, immersive world-building, and stellar character performances, with IGN awarding it an 8/10.

Horizon Forbidden West, the celebrated open-world action sequel, also returns to the service on October 20, having received a 9/10 upon its original release. The month includes additional notable releases across multiple genres: Dino Crisis 2 joins PS Plus Premium exclusively on October 20, while Tales of Arise: Beyond the Dawn Edition, Poppy Playtime: Chapter 2, and Monster Energy Supercross 25 arrive on October 27. Mycopunk and The Midnight Walk complete the October catalog.

PS Plus Essential subscribers can claim three free games—F1 25, Hunt: Showdown 1896, and Earth Defense Force: World Brothers 2—through November 2. The substantial October addition spans action, sports, horror, and indie experiences across PlayStation platforms.
