Two More ‘Day One’ Releases Are Confirmed For Xbox Game Pass Over The Next Few Months
Xbox Game Pass has confirmed two more “Day One” releases scheduled to arrive over the next few months. The first confirmed title is Escape Academy 2: Back 2 School, which was previously announced for the service but now has a concrete launch window.
This announcement comes as Xbox Game Pass experiences strong momentum in October 2026, with recent additions including Gears of War: E-Day, Battlefield 6, and Valor Mortis. These releases have generated enthusiasm among subscribers about the service’s pipeline.
Day One releases—where games launch simultaneously with their official release—remain a core differentiator for Xbox Game Pass, allowing subscribers to access new titles at launch without additional purchase. The confirmation of these two upcoming games demonstrates Microsoft’s continued investment in securing launch-day content for the subscription service, a key strategy for maintaining competitive advantage in the gaming subscription market. The second title details were not available in the announcement, but both games are expected to arrive within the coming months.
