Devious Arc Raiders Griefers Are Having Fun in PvE, Camping Locked Loot Rooms and Pulling Enemy Robots Into Extraction Points
Arc Raiders’ newly introduced PvE mode is experiencing widespread griefing despite its design as a safer alternative to PvP. Players are exploiting game mechanics to sabotage others, using tactics like the Bull Rush ability to bash other raiders into dangerous positions where enemy AI eliminates them, enabling looting without direct combat consequences. Griefers are also camping locked loot rooms and deliberately pulling enemy robots into extraction points to force unwanted encounters.
The toxicity contradicts the PvE mode’s intended purpose of providing a more cooperative experience. While Arc Raiders’ main game has always featured mixed lobbies ranging from collaborative to hostile, the separation from traditional PvP mechanics was expected to reduce deliberate player interference. Instead, creative exploitation of environmental hazards and indirect mechanics has become commonplace.
These griefing patterns highlight ongoing challenges in live-service games where separating competitive and cooperative spaces does not automatically prevent players from using alternative methods to disrupt others’ gameplay. Embark Studios’ approach to addressing these exploits remains unclear from available reports.
