GTA 6 Launch Trailer Arrives - More Than A Month Ahead of Launch

Rockstar Games has released the official launch trailer for Grand Theft Auto 6, delivering fresh footage just over a month before the game’s November 19 release date. The 90-second trailer, captured entirely on PS5, marks the fourth major video presentation of the highly anticipated title and provides new glimpses into the game’s story and world.

The trailer features a new Justice track, “Flower in a Hurricane,” featuring Tame Impala, SZA, and King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard. Justice, the electronic duo, is also composing the full original score for GTA 6, continuing Rockstar’s tradition of featuring curated music.

The footage showcases Vice City and its protagonists—Jason and Lucia—who serve as the game’s central characters. The narrative follows the pair as they navigate criminal conspiracies across the fictional state of Leonida. The trailer emphasizes their relationship with an intimate shower scene and references Jason’s troubled military background, while Lucia is shown wearing an ankle tag suggesting her own complicated past.

Action sequences include heists, police chases, and dramatic set pieces such as a helicopter getaway. Notably, this trailer adopts a more focused, character-driven tone compared to previous promotional materials, emphasizing narrative and relationship development alongside explosive action.

The game will release on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. The launch trailer prominently features PlayStation branding with a “plays best on PS5” message, reflecting Rockstar’s continued partnership with Sony for the console release.
