Game of the Month: Onimusha: Way of the Sword (September 2026)
Push Square has announced its Game of the Month for September 2026, with Onimusha: Way of the Sword receiving the honor. The PS5 title emerges as the standout choice from what the publication describes as an unusually crowded release schedule.
September 2026 proved to be a particularly stacked month for PS5 releases, presenting challenges for the Push Square editorial team in covering the full slate of new games. The volume of releases also left players with difficult choices about which titles to prioritize. Despite the competitive field of September releases, Onimusha: Way of the Sword ultimately secured the top spot through Push Square’s community voting process.
The Game of the Month award represents reader choice, reflecting what the publication’s audience determined to be the best gaming experience from the month’s releases.
