Steam’s Best Way To Play New Games Officially Comes Back in 4 Days
Steam Next Fest, Valve’s biannual showcase of upcoming PC games, is returning for its October 2026 edition running from October 19 to October 26. The event brings free playable demos for hundreds of upcoming games to the Steam platform, allowing players to explore diverse releases before purchase. This curated demo event has become a key fixture on the PC gaming calendar for discovering both anticipated titles and hidden indie gems.
The event occurs several times per year and provides developers with an opportunity to build community interest and gather player feedback through public playtesting of upcoming releases. For players who enjoy exploring a wide variety of titles rather than focusing on a few games, Steam Next Fest offers an ideal way to discover new experiences across multiple genres and styles. Timing the October edition just before November’s busy gaming season allows players one final opportunity to find anticipated releases before the year’s slate of major launches concludes.
