Free Play Days: Try These Xbox Games For Free (October 15-18)
Xbox has announced its latest batch of Free Play Days games, available from October 15-18. The promotion features six titles that players can try for free during the weekend period.
NBA 2K27 headlines this week’s selection and marks a significant milestone for the basketball simulation franchise. This is the first time in the series’ history that NBA 2K has supported Xbox Play Anywhere, a feature that allows players to access and play games across multiple platforms within the Xbox ecosystem. Specifically, this means players can take to the court on Xbox consoles, PC, and handheld devices, providing greater flexibility for fans of the franchise.
The Free Play Days promotion continues to be a key offering in Xbox’s service portfolio, allowing players to experience games before deciding whether to purchase them. This particular selection demonstrates the platform’s commitment to offering diverse gaming experiences across different genres, from sports simulation to other gaming categories represented in the full lineup.
The timing of NBA 2K27’s inclusion in this Free Play Days promotion is particularly strategic, as it introduces the franchise’s latest annual release to a broader audience while simultaneously highlighting the new cross-platform compatibility feature. This development reflects broader industry trends toward expanded platform availability and unified gaming experiences across devices.
