The 8 Best Castlevania Games, Ranked
Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse launched this week, marking the franchise’s return to new releases after a 13-year gap. The release comes as gaming publication Polygon published a ranked list of the eight best Castlevania games, serving as a guide for players returning to the beloved series.
The Castlevania franchise has long been celebrated in gaming history for its variety of gameplay experiences and rich mythology built around vampire lore. The new release arrives at a time when players may be discovering or rediscovering the series, prompting retrospective coverage of classic entries. The Polygon ranking includes Super Castlevania 4, which debuted on Super Nintendo in 1991 and is positioned as the eighth best game in the series.
