Battlefield 6 devs to fix “Secuty” skin typo, but five-pistol outfit was intentional
Battlefield Studios has responded to widespread player speculation about whether cosmetics in Battlefield 6 were created using artificial intelligence, following the discovery of a “Secuty” typo on a Season 5 skin. The text error appeared on patches of the McNeil character cosmetic, where “Security” was misspelled.
While the studio acknowledged receiving “candid feedback” from the community, it conspicuously did not directly address whether the cosmetics were generated using AI technology. Instead, Battlefield Studios confirmed that the “Secuty” text error will be corrected in a planned update arriving with Season 5 Phase 2.
Beyond the typo correction, the studio clarified that an unusual outfit featuring five pistols—which prompted player questioning—was an intentional design choice rather than an oversight or error. The response suggests that while the text mistake was unintentional and will be fixed, the broader cosmetic design decisions, including the multi-pistol loadout, were made deliberately by the development team.
