Battlefield 6 Dev Owns Up To Mistakes With Strange-Looking Cosmetics, But Stays Silent On Possible AI Use

Battlefield Studios has addressed player concerns about irregularities in Battlefield 6’s recently released cosmetic items. The community raised questions about whether the skins and cosmetics were generated using artificial intelligence, pointing out various oddities and unusual features in the designs.

While the developer acknowledged being aware of “the conversation, memes, and candid feedback” surrounding the cosmetics, it notably did not comment on whether generative AI was involved in their creation. Instead, Battlefield Studios focused on admitting to specific mistakes found in the items.

One prominent example cited by players is a McNeil skin that contains a visible typo on the shoulder, reading “SECUTY” instead of “SECURITY.” This spelling error became emblematic of broader concerns about quality control in the cosmetic releases.

In response, Battlefield Studios committed to releasing an update to address the identified issues. The fixes are scheduled to arrive with the Season 5, Phase 2 patch in November. However, the studio’s silence regarding potential AI involvement left many community members’ underlying questions unanswered, with the statement focusing primarily on correcting mechanical errors rather than addressing broader concerns about the cosmetics’ creation process.
