DC Studios Reveals First Details on New TV Series
DC Studios announced details for an upcoming animated adaptation of Mister Miracle, featuring Josh Hutcherson (The Hunger Games) as the voice of Mister Miracle and Mackenzie Davis (Station Eleven) as Big Barda. The series is being produced by Warner Bros. Animation and DC Studios, with acclaimed comic book writer Tom King serving as showrunner.
The show will adapt the Eisner Award-winning comic book run co-created by King and artist Mitch Gerads. The released promotional image depicts Mister Miracle and Big Barda—his longtime love interest and fellow New God—with Darkseid’s silhouette looming threateningly in the background, establishing the central dramatic tension between the intimate relationship and the larger cosmic threat.
The casting and creative team selections underscore DC Studios’ commitment to faithfully adapting King and Gerads’ celebrated work, which is known for its character-focused storytelling and thematic exploration of freedom and love within the superhero genre.
