Faraway – Official Release Date Reveal Trailer
After 16 years in development, indie game developer Steph Thirion’s minimalistic arcade-puzzle game Faraway has officially announced its release date: November 5. The solo creator, known for the cult classic Eliss, has designed Faraway as a single-button arcade game centered around a cosmic journey where players guide a shooting star across a procedurally generated universe.
In Faraway, players create constellations to keep their shooting star alive, using the gravity of these celestial formations to slingshot between destinations. The game features randomly-generated levels, immersive real-time visuals, and interactive music, designed for both quick play sessions and extended gameplay for long-term mastery and discovery.
Faraway will launch on November 5 across multiple platforms: PC via Steam and Epic Games Store, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. The release marks the culmination of over a decade of development since the game’s initial announcement in 2010.
