League of Legends Virtual K-Pop Group K/DA Reemerge After 6 Years of Silence With New Single and Music Video From the Makers of Arcane
After six years of silence, K/DA, the League of Legends-themed virtual K-pop girl group created by Riot Games, has announced a major comeback with the single “Firestarter.” The track leads a new EP set to release on October 21, marking the group’s second major project since their 2020 album All Out.
The revamped lineup features returning members MIYEON and SOYEON from the K-pop group i-dle, alongside new vocalists Sophie Powers and Mimi Webb. The comeback notably excludes Seraphine, who previously appeared in the 2020 release More and was voiced by Lexie Liu. The shift represents a creative evolution as the virtual group introduces fresh talent while maintaining core members.
“Firestarter” was produced by Kill Dave and Sebastien Najand, with visual production and animation handled by Fortiche Production, the acclaimed studio behind the League of Legends animated series Arcane. This collaboration underscores K/DA’s commitment to high-production-value multimedia content that blends gaming, music, and animation. The comeback represents a significant moment for the virtual band, which has established itself as a distinctive intersection of esports culture, K-pop, and gaming entertainment since its inception.
