All VCT Partnered Teams for 2027 and 2028
Riot Games has announced the complete VCT partnered teams roster for 2027 and 2028, implementing a major restructuring of professional Valorant competition. The publisher is reducing partnered teams from ten to eight per region in preparation for a new competitive format launching next year.
Several prominent organizations have been excluded from the partnership program, including Cloud9, KOI, and defending VCT Pacific champions Global Esports. Other notable exclusions are Wolves, FC Barcelona, DRX, and FlyQuest, representing a significant shift in the competitive landscape.
Riot has introduced five new teams to offset the reduction. G2 Esports joins the Americas region, while China welcomes Weibo Gaming and XLG. The Pacific region gains GAM Esports and the returning Crazy Racoons.
The announcement follows LOUD’s victory over Team Vitality at Valorant Champions. The 2027 format marks a major evolution for professional Valorant, transitioning to an open circuit model featuring Cups and Open Qualifiers, which drove Riot’s decision to streamline the partnered roster. The new structure aims to create a more competitive and accessible ecosystem while maintaining established partners across the Americas, EMEA, Pacific, and China regions.
