Dig through an infested planet with your giant drill-city and try not to die while you do it in the roguelite city-builder CitaDrill

CitaDrill is a roguelite city-builder with a distinctive and ambitious premise: players must construct and manage a functioning city housed within a protective dome, which is affixed to a massive drill bit. This drill-city combination serves as the player’s vessel to excavate through an infested planet while attempting to survive the various challenges and dangers that entail.

The game begins with minimal resources—just the drill itself—and players must start their descent by digging downward through the planet’s layers. As they excavate different block types, they obtain various resources that presumably fuel their city-building efforts and progression. The game features detailed, lush pixel art aesthetics that contribute significantly to its visual appeal and atmosphere.

This unique blend of city-building and roguelite mechanics represents an ambitious design concept. CitaDrill is currently available as a playable demo during Steam Next Fest, giving interested players the opportunity to experience the core gameplay loop firsthand before the game’s full commercial release. The combination of urban planning with survival roguelite elements offers players a fresh take on both genres.
