Here’s An Exclusive Look At How Cyberpunk: Edgerunners’ Cast Will Look In The Hit Trading Card Game
WeirdCo has announced the first expansion for its Cyberpunk Trading Card Game, titled Edgerunners: Burn Bright, scheduled to launch in Spring 2027. The base game, which launched earlier this year following a successful Kickstarter campaign that became the highest-funded game crowdfunding project in history, will now receive content based on the Netflix anime Cyberpunk: Edgerunners.
The expansion will introduce characters, locations, weapons, cyberware, and iconic moments from the anime series produced by TRIGGER and based on CD Projekt Red’s Cyberpunk franchise. WeirdCo has confirmed that new mechanics will be introduced with the set, alongside a previously unannounced new chase rarity card type.
Exclusive art reveals show two notable cards from the expansion: “Caught in the Crossfire” and “Adam Smasher — Story Ends Here.” The artwork depicts significant moments of violence and tragedy from the anime, with the latter card featuring the franchise’s prominent antagonist Adam Smasher. The illustrations demonstrate the developers’ intent to capture both the action and emotional weight of key events from the source material.
Further details about the expansion’s mechanics and additional cards are expected to be revealed closer to the Spring 2027 release window.
