Techland CEO Addresses Fans as Dying Light: The Beast Support Comes to an End
Techland CEO Paweł Marchewka announced during a Discord AMA with fans that support for Dying Light: The Beast is coming to an end. The parkour-focused zombie game launched last year as a standalone release, marking a shift from its original conception as a planned expansion for Dying Light 2.
The support conclusion comes shortly after the game received the Restored Land update, which introduced substantial new free content to the experience. This update provided players with the ability to progressively clear zombie infestations from across the game’s map and rebuild civilization throughout the world.
Techland clarified that this end of support was always planned, noting the studio never intended The Beast to receive long-term post-launch support. The development team positioned it as a complete experience rather than a persistent live-service title requiring continuous updates and new content releases. With support ending, players will retain access to all currently available content.
