People who’ve finished Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 on the new YOLO, single-life difficulty share experiences and tips for doing so
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 has introduced YOLO, a challenging new difficulty mode that grants players only a single life to complete the entire campaign. Failure at any point sends players back to the beginning, making it harder than even the Realism difficulty setting. Several players have already completed the campaign using this mode during early access, sharing their experiences and strategies with the community.
Modern Warfare 4 is available in early access as of October 16, 2026, with the full global launch scheduled for October 23. The game marks Infinity Ward’s return to the series after two years of Treyarch’s Black Ops titles, concluding the Task Force 141 story arc. Early reception has been highly positive, with players praising the campaign’s return to form.
The game features three main modes: Campaign, DMZ (an extraction shooter that launched October 20), and Multiplayer, with progression shared between the latter two. Warzone integration is scheduled to begin on November 6 with Season 1, completing the launch rollout for this year’s entry.
