GTA 5 And Red Dead Redemption 2 Are Leaving PS Plus, But You Still Have Time
Eleven games will be removed from PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium tiers in November 2026, with the most notable departures being two major Rockstar Games titles: Grand Theft Auto 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2. The removal is set to begin on November 17, 2026, just two days before the highly anticipated launch of Grand Theft Auto 6 on November 19.
The timing appears to be strategic, with Rockstar Games and parent company Take-Two Interactive deliberately clearing high-profile titles from PlayStation Plus to eliminate potential distractions ahead of GTA 6’s release. This move makes room on Sony’s Game Catalog for newly added titles announced for October 2026.
Players subscribed to PlayStation Plus Extra or Premium who wish to continue playing these games will need to act quickly, as the removed titles will no longer be available through their subscription after the November removal window. The announcement was revealed through PlayStation Plus’s “Last Chance to Play” section on PlayStation consoles, which displays titles being removed from the service.
This is the latest instance of Rockstar withdrawing its major franchises from PlayStation Plus, continuing the publisher’s pattern of selective catalog management for the subscription service.
