Xbox 25th Anniversary Controller Comes With Exclusive Dynamic Background
Xbox has launched its 25th Anniversary Special Edition Controller to commemorate the console platform’s silver jubilee. The controller features a striking translucent green aesthetic that complements the matching anniversary Xbox Series X console released simultaneously.
A notable addition for owners is an exclusive dynamic background inspired by the original Xbox, the console that launched the platform in 2001. This background appears to have been included as a digital bonus alongside the physical hardware. The controllers have begun shipping to customers, with early users sharing their excitement about the design and the nostalgic background that pays homage to the franchise’s origins.
The anniversary initiative represents Microsoft’s effort to celebrate Xbox’s cultural impact over the past two and a half decades, combining retro design inspirations with modern hardware. The translucent green color scheme evokes the original console’s iconic look while maintaining contemporary aesthetics expected from current-generation Xbox peripherals.
