Xbox Game Pass’s Newest Wave Is Headlined By A Huge Final Fantasy Adventure
Microsoft has announced the second wave of Xbox Game Pass additions for October 2026, featuring eight games arriving between October 21 and November 3. The marquee title is Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade, Square Enix’s enhanced version of its acclaimed 2020 RPG remake that reimagines the opening portion of the classic 1997 Final Fantasy VII, following protagonist Cloud Strife and his allies.
The October wave 2 lineup also includes The Séance of Blake Manor, a supernatural mystery title, Terrible Lizards, a remastered tower-defense classic, and several online RPGs. Two of the eight new additions are arriving as day-one releases on the service, expanding Game Pass’s value proposition with both established franchises and newer titles.
This announcement follows the service’s first October wave, which included notable releases like Gears of War: E-Day and Battlefield 6. Microsoft has also provided a preview of November’s incoming games, giving subscribers visibility into upcoming months of content.
Simultaneously, several games are departing Xbox Game Pass this month, including two Double Fine classics and a major Star Wars Lego title, maintaining the service’s monthly rotation of content. The Final Fantasy VII Remake addition is particularly significant given the game’s critical acclaim since its original launch and its prior availability through periodic discount campaigns.
