Major Skyrim Update Officially Comes to ‘Elder Scrolls Online’
The Elder Scrolls Online has officially launched Season Two: Echoes of Skyrim, its latest major content update centered around the fan-favorite Skyrim region. The new season is now available across Mac, PlayStation, Windows PC, and Xbox platforms and will run through January 27, 2027.
A significant highlight of this update is that previously paid DLC content is now being integrated into the base game for free. Specifically, the Greymoor Chapter and Wolfhunter DLC are now available to all players who own the base game, eliminating the need for separate purchases.
The Greymoor addition allows players to explore Western Skyrim, including the iconic city of Solitude, and venture into the subterranean realm of Blackreach, expanding the game’s playable areas. This brings more of Tamriel to players without requiring additional expansion purchases, making the base game more feature-rich.
This seasonal update continues The Elder Scrolls Online’s live-service model, delivering fresh content to its established player base while lowering the barrier to entry for new players interested in experiencing Skyrim content within the MMO framework.
