K/DA and True Damage Will Perform at the LoL Worlds 2026 Final
Riot Games has announced that the virtual music groups K/DA and True Damage will headline the opening ceremony of the League of Legends World Championship 2026 final at the Barclays Centre in New York. Both groups, which combine in-game League of Legends champions with real-world musicians, have made notable returns this year with fresh content.
K/DA has released a new four-song EP titled “Firestarter,” marking their continued presence in the music space. True Damage, meanwhile, contributed to the event by recording “Know My Name,” which serves as the official Worlds 2026 anthem. This performance will mark True Damage’s second appearance at the League of Legends World Championship, having previously performed their debut single “Giants” at the 2019 finals in Paris.
For K/DA, the Worlds 2026 performance will be their third championship appearance. The group previously performed at Worlds 2018 and 2020, utilizing augmented reality technology to bring their virtual members to life for audiences worldwide. The return of both groups highlights the continued importance of music and entertainment within the League of Legends esports ecosystem.
The performances underscore Riot Games’ ongoing commitment to blending competitive gaming with mainstream entertainment. By featuring established virtual music acts alongside new content, the Worlds 2026 opening ceremony promises to deliver a multimedia spectacle for both in-person attendees and global viewers, reinforcing the championship’s status as one of the most prestigious events in esports.
