Life Is Strange Creator Officially Comments on State of Upcoming TV Adaptation

Amazon’s upcoming Life is Strange television adaptation has received enthusiastic backing from the game’s original creators. Following the completion of filming, Michel Koch, co-creator and director of the 2015 game, visited the production set and shared his positive experience publicly.

In an Instagram post, Koch described the visit as “one of the most surreal weeks” of his life, noting that being on set alongside fellow original creators Jean-Luc Cano and Luc Baghadoust, surrounded by the production team, was “a highlight of my career.” He expressed pride in the final product, suggesting the show’s creators have successfully captured the essence of the beloved source material.

The adaptation will star Tatum Grace Hopkins as protagonist Max and Maisy Stella in the cast. Koch’s public endorsement carries particular weight given his direct involvement with the original game’s vision and creative direction, indicating the television version is respectfully translating the narrative and characters that resonated with audiences.
