Award-Winning Indie Horror ‘Mouthwashing’ Finally Arrives On Switch This Month

Award-winning indie horror game Mouthwashing is set to arrive on Nintendo Switch on October 29th, marking the platform’s debut for this critically acclaimed title. Originally launched in 2024, Mouthwashing has become a commercial success story in the indie gaming space, accumulating over 500,000 sales on Steam since its initial PC release.

Publisher Critical Reflex first announced the Switch port approximately one year ago, with development of the console version proceeding since that announcement. The release date was officially unveiled during yesterday’s Xbox Showcase event. Pre-orders are now live on the North American eShop at $12.99, though the official store listing contains a typographical error displaying October 10th as the release date rather than the confirmed October 29th launch.

This Switch release brings the space horror experience to Nintendo’s hybrid console for the first time, expanding the title’s reach beyond its successful PC debut and introducing the game to a new audience on portable and docked Nintendo hardware.
