80% of Samsung’s data center memory is already sold for 2027, meaning yet another double-digit price increase for RAM expected and more likely to come

Samsung’s 2027 data center memory production is already 80% committed through long-term agreements, according to Korean investment firm KB Securities. Hyperscalers conducting major data center expansions have secured most of next year’s memory supply, leaving only 20% available for other purchasers. This severely constrained supply is expected to drive double-digit price increases for RAM throughout 2027, continuing the memory supply crisis that has already pressured PC hardware upgrade costs. With major tech companies competing for the limited remaining inventory, consumer-grade memory prices are likely to remain elevated.
