Fans React to Shrek 2 Remastered’s Surprising PC Requirements
The Shrek 2 Remastered has been announced, and fans are surprised by its demanding PC requirements. The remaster of the 2004 adventure game, developed by Aspyr, will feature improved graphics including better textures, an enhanced user interface, and 4K resolution support.
According to the Steam store page, the minimum specifications to run Shrek 2 Remastered require a GeForce RTX 4060 or RTX 3060 Ti graphics card or equivalent. For the recommended experience, players will need a GeForce RTX 4070 or RTX 5070. These are relatively high-end graphics cards for a remaster of a 20-year-old game, which has prompted players on social media to make humorous comments about the unexpected performance demands for a Shrek title.
The remaster was announced through a Grand Theft Auto-style trailer and is scheduled to release next month. It will be available on Steam.
