How to clear a compound in Modern Warfare 4 DMZ
Modern Warfare 4’s DMZ mode introduces compounds as new mechanics—mini enemy strongholds that players must clear to progress. Compounds are marked on the map with tent and flag symbols and represent a key requirement for completing the “No One Left” order within the “Human Intel” chapter.
There are six compounds scattered across the DMZ’s Hajin map, varying in difficulty and accessibility. Some require keys to enter, while others remain open and accessible. Players seeking an easier introduction should target the two compounds in Daesong Ridge in the southern portion of the map. These army camps feature minimal enemy presence, making them ideal starting points for newer players.
To clear a compound, players must eliminate every enemy within its perimeter. Progress is tracked via a percentage bar displayed on the left side of the screen, counting upward as enemies are defeated. The compounds’ locations include areas south of the 14th Political Prison, west of Cheongun Village, east of Imjin Farmland, west of Hajin River Heights, and other strategic positions throughout the map.
The compound clearing mechanic represents one of several new gameplay systems introduced in Modern Warfare 4’s extraction shooter mode, alongside other objectives like lieutenant towers, requiring players to engage in direct combat against fortified enemy positions.
