Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3 Release Window Narrowed by Bandai Namco

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3, the long-awaited sequel to the 2016 action-RPG, has had its release window narrowed to the second half of 2027, Bandai Namco announced. The publisher revealed this refined timeline following months of community feedback on early gameplay footage.

The announcement comes after fans expressed significant concerns about gameplay changes highlighted in early reveals. Most notably, the introduction of time-limited Super Saiyan transformations drew considerable backlash from the community, who appreciated the unlimited transformation duration in previous entries. Despite initial disappointment with some design choices, fans have responded positively to the extended development timeline, interpreting the delay as a signal that developer Dimps and publisher Bandai Namco are taking their feedback seriously.

Producer Masayuki Hirano acknowledged the community’s input, stating that the team appreciated the support and feedback received over the past several months. While the full scope of changes being made in response to fan concerns remains unclear, the narrowed release window suggests significant development work may still be underway to address community feedback before launch.
