Eurogamer has compiled a curated list of 13 horror games recommended for the Halloween season, spanning PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, Switch 2, and VR platforms. The selection caters to diverse preferences within the horror genre, featuring experiences ranging from intensely frightening games to milder but still atmospheric and spooky titles.
According to the article, different entries within the list prioritize different aspects of the horror experience—some focus on pure fear and dread, while others emphasize grim and disturbing atmospheres, and a third category offers less intense entertainment without sacrificing the spooky aesthetic. The recommendation comes at an appropriate time as the Halloween season approaches, with Eurogamer indicating plans for additional horror-related coverage throughout the week ahead of the holiday.
