Acer is bringing a Predator gaming handheld to the US for the first time
Acer is bringing its Predator Atlas 8 gaming handheld to the US market for the first time. The company announced that the Intel Arc G3 Extreme variant—the more powerful of two models unveiled in May—will launch exclusively at Best Buy on November 1st for $1,299.99.
The Atlas 8 is a premium handheld gaming device featuring an 8-inch display running at 120Hz. It’s powered by Intel Arc B390 graphics with 12 Xe3 GPU cores and paired with 24GB of LPDDR5x RAM. The device includes dual-mode triggers and TMR joysticks, making it suitable for both handheld and docked gaming setups. Running Windows 11 natively, the Atlas 8 provides access to a wide range of PC games and services like Xbox Game Pass.
The $1,300 price point positions the Atlas 8 in the premium gaming handheld segment, marking Acer’s first official US availability for a Predator gaming handheld and expanding the company’s presence in the competitive portable gaming market.
