DC Studios Confirms Talks With Reacher Star Alan Ritchson for DCU Role
DC Studios is in ongoing discussions with actor Alan Ritchson, known for his role in the Amazon Prime Video series Reacher, regarding potential involvement in the expanding DC Universe. Co-head Peter Safran confirmed to Collider that while DC Studios has discussed multiple projects with Ritchson, no concrete role has materialized yet.
Safran praised Ritchson’s range and depth as a performer, noting “He’s just good” and suggesting the actor possesses greater capability than audiences may have seen. The executive indicated there’s more the actor could contribute that people haven’t experienced from him, signaling DC Studios’ interest in leveraging his talents for future projects.
Ritchson’s position aligns with earlier comments he made on Josh Horowitz’s Happy Sad Confused podcast over the summer, where he similarly discussed potential opportunities with DC Studios and Superman director James Gunn. The nature of the projects under consideration remains unspecified, though the ongoing talks demonstrate DC Studios’ continued effort to secure high-profile talent for its upcoming film and television slate.
