Ratata, A 4-Player Physics-Chaos Co-op Game Where You Play as Anthropomorphic Animals, Announced

The Kingsdom has announced Ratata, a four-player cooperative physics-based game where players control anthropomorphic animals working off a debt to a mafia toad. The game features a core loop of selecting character-specific animals with distinct strengths and weaknesses, then tackling missions that involve building garages, acquiring items for the boss, packing trucks, and delivering goods—all styled after ’80s crime heist films.

Ratata’s defining characteristic is its physics-engine-driven gameplay that emphasizes chaos and unpredictability. Rather than following scripted sequences, each mission’s outcome depends heavily on environmental interactions and player decisions, ensuring varied playthroughs. The art style is deliberately cartoony and lighthearted, matching the tongue-in-cheek tone of the heist premise.

The game supports both solo play and cooperative multiplayer for up to four players, making it accessible for single-player challenges or shared couch-co-op sessions. Currently in development for PC, Ratata represents The Kingsdom’s approach to accessible, physics-based fun prioritizing dynamic gameplay over narrative complexity. No release date has been announced.
