Silent Hill Remake Coming 2027, First Cast Details Leaked
Bloober Team’s remake of the original 1999 Silent Hill is targeting a 2027 release, according to a report from MP1st. Development on the project has been underway since 2022, with the game being cast under the internal codename “Project Noise.”
The remake comes on the heels of the Silent Hill 2 remake’s commercial success, which has sold 6 million copies. This latest project fits within Konami’s ambitious strategy, announced in late 2025, to release a new Silent Hill game every year. The publisher has already maintained this cadence with the release of Silent Hill 2 remake, Silent Hill f, and Silent Hill: Townfall over the past three years.
According to MP1st, two voice actors have been attached to the remake, though the casting of the lead character Harry has not yet been revealed. The original Silent Hill, released on PS1 in 1999, is a landmark title in survival horror and is being entrusted to Bloober Team—the same studio behind the well-received Silent Hill 2 remake.
While game development schedules are prone to change, the 2027 target suggests the project is in an advanced stage. The remake represents Konami’s continued effort to revitalize the Silent Hill franchise after years of dormancy, leveraging recent commercial success to maintain momentum in the horror gaming space.
