Street Fighter V temporarily delisted and online functions turned off due to issues caused by last week’s PHP security flaw

Street Fighter V has been temporarily delisted from digital storefronts and its online servers have been taken offline by Capcom due to a PHP security vulnerability that emerged last week. The vulnerability prompted widespread security-led shutdowns across online services. While the game remains playable in offline modes, players are unable to access any online functionality during this period as Capcom works to address the security issues.

Despite Street Fighter 6’s dominance as the world’s most popular fighting game for the past three years, Street Fighter V maintains an active and dedicated playerbase. This continued engagement stems from its larger character roster accumulated through years of updates, unique mechanical systems like V-Skill and V-Trigger mechanics, and player preferences regarding certain gameplay elements compared to Street Fighter 6’s Drive Rush and throw loop mechanics.

The temporary delisting is a precautionary measure, with the game expected to be restored once Capcom resolves the underlying PHP security concerns affecting its online infrastructure.
