You Can Make Your WoW: Forever Character Now And Be Ready For Launch
World of Warcraft: Forever character creation and name reservations are now available ahead of the game’s official launch, allowing players to reserve character names and set up their accounts in advance. Players can create and customize up to three characters before launch day, helping streamline the launch experience.
To access the feature, players must have World of Warcraft: Forever preinstalled on Battle.net and have purchased at least the $30 Skyborne Heroic Pack, which also grants access to the game’s new optional playable race, the Skyborne elves. Once these requirements are met, players can log into the game, select their preferred ruleset, and begin creating characters.
The rollout experienced some technical difficulties shortly after launch. Players reported encountering login queues that resulted in disconnections, and others faced “Character creation timed out” error messages when attempting to finalize their character names. Despite these issues, Blizzard acknowledged the problems and quickly worked on fixes, with the name reservation system reported as fully operational by early evening.
Early character creation systems are common for major MMO launches, helping to reduce server strain and queue times when the game officially releases. This feature allows dedicated players and those who have invested in higher-tier preorder packages to gain a head start on claiming desired character names.
