Interior Night studio head Charu Desodt appointed chair of BAFTA Games Committee
Charu Desodt, studio head at Interior Night, has been appointed chair of the BAFTA Games Committee, taking over from Tara Saunders, who previously led the organization for a decade before transitioning to a senior people partner role at Lego Digital Play.
Desodt brings over 25 years of experience in the games industry, having held senior production positions at major companies including Microsoft, Sony Computer Entertainment Europe, and Prelo. Her appointment represents a significant leadership transition within BAFTA’s games division, which plays a key role in celebrating and recognizing excellence in the gaming industry through its annual awards and initiatives.
Saunders’ departure marks the conclusion of a lengthy tenure, during which she also served as a member of the BAFTA Board of Trustees. Her move to Lego Digital Play reflects broader industry movements as established studios and business entities continue to develop gaming and interactive entertainment properties.
