You Need to Have Completed Crimson Desert’s Main Storyline to Begin Kliff, Oongka, and Damiane’s New DLC Stories
Pearl Abyss has clarified the entry requirements for Crimson Desert’s upcoming “Charting the Unknown” DLC, which launches on October 29. The expansion features new story content centered on three main characters: Kliff, Oongka, and Damiane.
The DLC offers two distinct entry points with different prerequisites. Players must complete Crimson Desert’s main storyline to access the character-specific epilogue stories for all three protagonists. For the second entry point—the new open-world content—players need to have established the Greymane camp during Chapter 3 of the main campaign.
The “Charting the Unknown” DLC includes both narrative-driven content and exploration opportunities. Beyond the character epilogues, the expansion adds open-world gameplay featuring exploration and naval mechanics. This allows players to engage with the new content at different stages of progression depending on their interests.
Pearl Abyss’ Will Powers announced these details during an appearance on the YouTube series “Dropped Frames,” confirming that players who have progressed through the main campaign will have full access to the DLC’s offerings.
