How to get Tifa and Barrett’s outfits in FFXIV
Final Fantasy XIV’s latest collaboration event, “Keybound Brawlers,” brings cosmetic outfits for Tifa and Barrett from the Final Fantasy VII universe to the MMORPG. Running from October 28 until patch 8.0’s release, the event introduces character costumes based on the designs from Final Fantasy VII Remake, alongside other FF7-themed cosmetic items and collectibles.
Players obtain these coveted outfits by participating in the Keybound Brawlers event, which features typing-based minigames called “typing brawls.” Success in these challenges rewards players with a special event currency that can be exchanged for cosmetics. Cloud already has an outfit in FFXIV based on Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children, making this Tifa and Barrett collaboration a natural extension of the FF7 crossover content.
The typing brawl gameplay mechanic offers a distinctly different experience from FFXIV’s standard combat encounters, providing variety to the event experience. The limited-time nature of the event encourages players to engage with the Keybound Brawlers content to collect these character costumes before they become unavailable at patch 8.0’s launch.
