Gentle Mates Confirm Vatira, Atow, Zen Signings
Gentle Mates has officially confirmed the signing of three prominent Rocket League professionals—Axel ‘Vatira’ Touret, Alexis ‘zen’ Bernier, and Tristan ‘Atow’ Soyez—ending months of speculation about their next club. The French esports organization announced the move as part of its RLCS (Rocket League Championship Series) partnership for the 2027 season.
The trio will debut together at the RLCS Club Championship 2027 Kick-Off event in December, competing in the RLCS Europe region. The signing comes after previous reports by Kameto, co-founder of Karmine Corp, who revealed that the three players had been negotiating with multiple organizations, including Vitality and Karmine Corp itself, before ultimately choosing Gentle Mates.
The move represents a significant roster change for the competitive Rocket League scene, as the players were previously scattered across different teams. By consolidating them under one organization, Gentle Mates aims to establish a competitive force in European RLCS competition heading into the 2027 season. The December event will provide the team with an immediate opportunity to prove their capabilities on the international stage.
This signing underscores the ongoing evolution of professional Rocket League, where player recruitment and roster construction continue to shape the competitive landscape. The announcement has generated considerable interest within the esports community as fans anticipate how this combination of talent will perform together at the elite level of RLCS competition.
